According to all the daily newspapers, yesterday about 9 o’clock, some 7 km in the northeast of Blace, western to the region of Biljak, in Yugoslav territory, a group of 50 refugees stepped in a minefield activating one or more bursting mines. In that case, according to statements of eyewitnesses, five or six persons died, while the number of wounded is very large.

According to Dnevnik, the Council of Skopje, in yesterday’s session, noticed that emergency measures should be taken to protect subterranean waters and ground of spring Rashce. Counselors are concerned, because all the city of Skopje is furnishing with water from there. They think that the refugee camps present a potential danger.

According to all the daily newspapers, the NATO spokesman in Macedonia, said that despite the incidents, they feel safe in Macedonia.

According to Vecer and information taken by Ministry of interior (MVR), the presence of refugees did not increased the scale of criminality in Skopje and Kumanovo, while in Tetovo small beatings, thieves and beggaring were registered.

NUMBER OF REFUGEES

According to all the daily newspapers, the number of vaccinated child in camp Stenkovec is very small. The day before yesterday 615 child were vaccinated, while 1.500 child was planed to be immunized. It is unknown whether the problem is the wrong prediction of number of child or it’s the fear of parents. In camp Neprosteno, vaccination also began.

According to Dnevnik, the UNHCR spokesman, said that beginning from the Monday, another airlift - Thesaloniki airport, would be used. About 1.000 refugees every day will be transported with trains to Thesaloniki, then, using airlift, from there to another countries.

According to all the daily newspapers, yesterday, till 3 PM o’clock, 735 refugees were transported using airlift, but after 3 PM o’clock were planed more flights. The day before yesterday, 1.260 refugees were transported to third countries from the Skopje airport.

According to Dnevnik, in borderland Jazince, yesterday new 112 refugees were registered, while in Tabanovce came just 7. According to information from the Operative stuff of MVR, yesterday new 996 refugees were registered. According to that, till yesterday at 3 PM o’clock, total of 183.800 refugees were registered, while more than 90.000 got the status of humanitarian cared persons. 68.690 refugees are settled in camps, most of them (52.590) in Stenkovec. Up to now, 27.990 refugees was transported to third countries using airlift.

According to Flaka, thousands of refugees are waiting to enter Macedonia.

CAMPS

According to Vecer, yesterday in camp Stenkovec new tents were pitched, and 2.527 refugees from Blace and Lojane were accepted in that camp.

In camp Stenkovec 2 the day before yesterday night, tent number 26 was burned, but the fire very quickly was extinguished.

According to all the daily newspapers, the Agency for refugees of UN, yesterday noticed that the enormous number of kosovar refugees settled in camps in Macedonia, could cause revolt.

According to Nova Makedonija, vice-minister of foreign affairs, Boris Trajkovski said that after the camp Cegrane, no more camps would be built. He left opened the possibility of extending the camps in Senokos and Bojane.

According to all the daily newspapers, in Macedonia came famous actor and great activist for human rights, Richard Gere. He’ll visit the refugee camps, where the activists of HO "Doctors without borders" and non-government organization OXFAM are working.

According to Vecer, after the acceptance of refugee child in schools of Tetovo, the classrooms are overcrowded (more than 50 pupils per classroom). Although, without an official resolution of Ministry of education in Tetovo, there have been made efforts, in order that the refugee childs can take lessons separately.

According to Flaka, the heads of HO "El Hilal", branch of Kumanovo, say that requests for humanitarian aids have been increased. Up to now, in that HO, 987 families with about 6.000 members have been registered. HO "El Hilal" gives them humanitarian aids.

According to Flaka, HO "Spike of goodness" distributed humanitarian aids for 5.000 refugees.

According to Fakti, a medicine team from Japan with equipment valuable to 125 millions of dollars, came to Macedonia, to help the kosovar refugees.

According to Flaka, Red Cross of Debar had registered 3.300 refugees and gave them humanitarian aids.
