SECURITY SITUATION
The president of Republic of Macedonia, Kiro Gligorov, yesterday had a meeting with Helena Kennedy, president of the Board of Britain council. During the talks president Gligorov was informed about the projects of Britain council in Macedonia and also for opening the office of this council in Macedonia. She also met with the premier Lubço Georgievski.
NUMBER OF REFUGEES
According to the data of International organization for migration, until July 26, 5.731 refugees went to third countries through Macedonian territory, while just yesterday 985 refugees have return to Kosovo. For today have been foreseen flights for Dutch, Germany, Turkey, Austria, Belgium and Sweden. From Macedonia in Kosovo today have been foreseen to return 176 refugees and 109 from camp of Çegrane, 21 from Senokose and 46 from Neproshteno.
SUPPORT
The high commissioner for refugees of United Nations (UNHCR), yesterday had opened temporary office in Gostivar. In this office refugees that are settled in Gostivar and its environs may get information’s that are in their interest, and they also may present for organized return in Kosovo. The office is settled in the building of commune of Gostivar.
The first group contained from 282 kosovar refugees had arrived yesterday from United States of America in the Skopje airport, and then with 12 buses went to Prishtina. This is the first organized return of refugees settled in USA. In USA are settled about 15.000 refugees. Most of them have families there.
