SECURITY SITUATION

A member of one unit of NATO forces, in Saturday has broken a window of "Fiqo" car. This car has passed a military truck in front of the Kumanovo barracks "Boro Nenkov". The people that saw this incident said that the soldier had thrown a stone in the car, without reasons. The incident happened at 7.30 on the road 11 Oktomvri before the Kumanovo barracks, when the car has passed there. But, the driver had luck so he hasn’t been injured. He had written the plate number of the military truck, where the attacker was.

 

THE NUMBER OF REFUGEES

According to the data of Directorate for Interior in Tetovo, the day before yesterday in the borderland of Jazince 4.000 persons left Macedonia and went in Kosovo, while 700 persons entered Macedonia. During yesterday in the borderland Jazince 6.590 refugees have left Macedonia. Most of them had a certificate for their status of cared person and identity card gave by the UNHCR. In this borderland, yesterday afternoon a long line was formed with 30 cars with refugees who were waiting to go back in Kosovo.

Today in 8 PM, from the camps Stenkovec 1 and 2 will began the first group of organized returning of refugees in Prishtina. They will have aid in food; water, cloth and hygienically products form the humanitarian organization that is settled there. Also the transfer of the refugees is planned from other camps like from the Çegrane, Bojane and Radusa camps.

According to the UNHCR until Saturday, about 140.000 refugees left Macedonia with their own will. Now in camps are settled about 70.000 persons.

According to the daily newspaper Flaka, a lot of humanitarian organizations help the refugees that are settled in Kicevo. But we need to stress the aid given from the Albania Doctors Association. As the president of this association Dr. Beqir Elezi, stressed until now they have 3.000 medical examinations. This association also has furnished all refugees that are settled in this town, with medicaments. The Kosovo doctors that are settled in this town also gave their help.

 

 

According to the daily newspaper Flaka, the non-government organization VOCA and USAID from the United States of America, that gives professional aid and materials to all individual agricultural producers, will distribute aid to all the families that have accepted refugees.

The Macedonian firm "Mokel", in cooperation with American textile company "Liz Claiborne", will sew 250.000 completes of cloth for refugees. This Macedonian firm will be engaged all the summer in the preparing of these refugee clothes. This job has a humanitarian character only.
