SECURITY SITUATION

According to news agencies, NATO, officially, demanded from Macedonia, in its territory to be deployed more 14.000 soldiers, as they say, according to some sources in Brussels. But, Macedonian government is saying that there is still no official demand from NATO, while a principle attitude is that just peaceful forces would be accepted.

 

NUMBER OF REFUGEES

According to the Ministry of Interior (MVR), in the last 24 hours, 4.469 refugees entered Macedonia. Also 53 illegal entries were registered. The total number of refugees in Macedonia now is 275.888, while 143.237 of them have the status of humanitarian cared people. 100.315 refugees have been settled in camps, most of them in camp Cegrane - 42.236, then came Stenkovec 1 and 2 with 31.983 refugees, Senokos - 7.118, Neprosteno - 6.900, Bojane - 4.030 and Radusa has 2.387 refugees.

Yesterday, 2.133 refugees were transferred to third countries using airlift. Up to now, 71.075 refugees left Macedonia using airlift.

 

CAMPS

According to the daily newspaper Dnevnik, Macedonian government is suggesting, about 5 to 10 thousand prefabricated barracks to be built in camps, so that the problem of carying refugees in winter conditions will be solved. The only condition of Macedonian government for the foreign investors, USA and UNHCR, is that bungalows should remain in Macedonia, after the end of the refugee crisis.

Yesterday in camp Stenkovec 1, about 16.40 o’clock, from, up to now, unknown reasons, fire lightened in a wood barrack, property of air club "Yuri Gagarin". The barrack totally burned out, while another tent, in which a kosovar refugee family was settled, was also damaged. Yesterday night, also in camp Stenkovec 2 a fire lightened in three tents, probably from unquenched candles, but very soon it was localized and extinguished.

SUPPORT

According to the daily newspaper Dnevnik, Aleksandar Simevski, the general manager of "Zhito Luks", menaced that he will interrupt furnishing of refugee camps with bread if humanitarian organizations don’t pay with money not with flour.

According to the daily newspaper Dnevnik, about 3.600 children of kosovar refugees and children of Macedonian families which are receiving social aid, from June 10, together will spent summer holidays in holiday apartments of Macedonian Red Cross in Struga, Pretor and Doiran.

According to the daily newspaper Dnevnik, UNHCR spokesman, Ron Redmond, in yesterday’s press conference said that the day before yesterday 239 kosovar refugees have been reevacuated to Albania. This action will continue, so that every Tuesday and Thursday organized busies will transfer refugees to Albania. About blaming of Macedonian government that humanitarian organizations doesn’t bye domestic products, he said that, up to now, all products for refugees have been provided according to the principle of best offer, as it was possible, form local providers.

According to the daily newspaper Flaka, up to now, 4584 kosovar refugees have been registered in Debar. These refugees have been registered in local Staff for civil protection in Debar. More than 50 refugees that were united with their families settled in Debar have been registered here.
