SECURITY SITUATION
The Ministry of Interior announced that the day before yesterday, a missile that was launched in Yugoslavia exploded in the area of Skopje village Brest. Nobody died or was injured.
NUMBER OF REFUGEES
According to Ministry of Interior (MVR), in the last 24 hours, 3.085 refugees entered Macedonia, while 2.626 of them entered in borderland Bllace. The total number of refugees in Macedonia now is 228.217, while 133.488 of them have the status of humanitarian cared person. 78.310 refugees have been settled in camps mostly in camp Cegrane 33.011. 119.907 refugees have been settled in families.
Yesterday, 2.261 refugees were transferred to third countries using airlift. Up to now, 62.426 refugees left Macedonia using airlift.
CAMPS
In a report from camps Stenkovec and Cegrane of the daily newspaper Vecer, was stressed that refugees are trying to escape from camps by corrupting police officers. They give them about 100-200 German marks. Also some cases of prostitution were registered. The tariff of these girls is about 10-30 German marks.
Today Women organization of Stip and center for regional development of nongovernment organizations gave humanitarian aid to 45 refugee families that are settled in this town.
SUPPORT
According to the daily newspaper Dnevnik, a group of kosovar refugees settled in camps around Macedonia, was in visit to the camps in Albania, to decide whether they will go there or not. But, mostly of them didn’t liked conditions in Albanian camps.
According to the daily newspaper Makedonija Denes, in Lokal court Skopje 1, up to now 33 humanitarian organizations have been registered in Macedonia that are supporting kosovar refugees.
According to the daily newspaper Fakti in H.O. "El Hilall" in the last days some projects that are organized in cooperation with H.O. "CRS" from USA are going on. "El Hilall" has organized three-day seminar for doctors, pedagogists, and psychologists from Kosovo to help them adapting their work to curent conditions. The second project is going on in cooperation with World Health Organization. This project includes questionnaire of refugees about their health condition and possibilities of health care, providing with foods and drinkable water.
According to the daily newspaper Fakti, the number of sick persons in camp Stenkovec 2 is increasing day by day. This is happening because of bad hygienically conditions. Diseases that appear mostly are chronicle diseases, while the most difficult cases are transferred in French hospital that is located inside the camp.
