NUMBER OF REFUGEES

According to Ministry of Interior (MVR), in the last 24 hours, 93 new refugees entered Macedonia. The total number of refugees in Macedonia is 232.158, while 123.083 of them have the status of humanitarian cared person. 87.070 refugees have been settled in camps: 18.700 in Stenkovec 1, 19.000 in Stenkovec 2, 31.074 in Cegrane, 5.882 in Neprosteno, 4.961 in Bojane, 2.123 in Senokose and 1.270 in Radusha.

Yesterday, 1.994 refugees left Macedonia using airlift. Up to now, 48.678 refugees left Macedonia using airlift.

According to the daily newspaper Vecer, 100.000 kosovar refugees are in the way to Macedonia.

 

CAMPS

According to the daily newspaper Dnevnik, unofficially, snakes stitched some refugees in camp Cegrane, while one’s life is at stake and hi has been transferred to Medical center in Gostivar.

Hilary Clinton, wife of US president, tomorrow will stay in one-day visit to Macedonia. She will meet President Kiro Gligorov and also will visit camp Stenkovec.

According to UNHCR, they will stay in Macedonia until refugees will be here. They don’t have information about corruption of the personnel, but in any case they transferred that personnel. They also began preparations for returning back refugees as well as staying here in the winter.

According to the daily newspapers Flaka and Fakti, Macedonian Center for international cooperation yesterday signed contract with four Macedonian firms, for helping refugees in project: "Help for refugees, host families and social cases". 19.000 refugees will be included in this project and it will cost about 5 millions German marks.

According to the daily newspaper Fakti, host families of kosovar refugees are in an awkward situation. There is scarcity of groceries, hygiene materials, blankets etc. Also contagious diseases can appear.

According to the daily newspaper Fakti, branch of Albanian Democratic Party in village Pirok of Tetovo, appealed that kosovar Albanians should not be left in camps, because there are still vacant places in houses of Albanians in Macedonia.
