SECURITY SITUATION

According to Dnevnik, the refugees that are settled in camps Stenkovec and Radusa, dissatisfied form the conditions of life, are preparing for revolt.

NUMBER OF REFUGEES

According to all the daily newspapers, the airlift is not working, while just in the last 24 hours, 11.000 new refugees entered Macedonia.

According to all the daily newspapers, until yesterday, about 22.000 refugees were settled in camp Cegrane. In the Ministry of Interior say that, about 30.000 refugees will be settled there. According to the daily newspaper Flaka, the main problem in that camp is drinkable water and sanitary conditions.

According to the daily newspaper Dnevnik, in the yesterday’s press conference of UNHCR in Macedonia, the spokesman said that according to their information, 193.800 refugees have been registered in Macedonia, while 96.700 have been settled in camps.

According to the daily newspapers Vecer, yesterday till 15 o’clock, 615 refugees have been transferred unto third countries using airlift.

According to all the daily newspapers, in yesterday’s press conference of Ministry of Immigration, the spokesman said that immigrants from Macedonia, are collecting aids to help refugees. The spokesman also said that these days, 4.000 refugees would be transported to Australia using airlift.

According to all the daily newspapers and information of MVR, 224.357 refugees have been registered in Macedonia. 91.468 have been settled in camps, while 99.157 of them have the status of humanitarian cared person.

According to all the daily newspapers, MVR is appealing to refugees that are not registered, to go to the nearest Police station, at most 15 days from today, where they will be registered.

According to the daily newspaper Nova Makedonija, the UNHCR spokesman in Geneva, Chris Ianowski, said that, these days, about 60.000 refugees would be transferred from Macedonia to Albania, where new camps for 160.000 refugees are going to be built.

 

CAMPS

According to Vecer, there are no epidemics in camps, but the hygiene is not god at all. As a consequence of high temperatures and bad hygiene conditions, just more cases of diarrhea have been noticed.

According to the daily newspaper Vecer, UNHCR is insisting that in Macedonia should be built new camps. Also, these days, UNHCR in a particular account of Ministry of urban planing and construction, delivered 87.000 American dollars and the same sum in a particular account of Ministry of labor and social policy.

According to the daily newspaper Nova Makedonija, yesterday Macedonian police halted extension of camp Senokos, because of having no appropriate license from Ministry of urban planing and construction. Up to now, 2.300 refugees has been settled in that camp.

According to the daily newspaper Flaka, thanks to HO "Mother Teresa", 950 kosovar refugees have been settled in Prespa.

According to the daily newspaper Fakti, in HO "El Hilal" say that Macedonian authorities doesn’t allow transferring of refugees in some cities in southwest of Macedonia, like Kicevo, Struga, Resen, Bitola, Ohrid and others. This organization in cooperation with HO "Care International", distributed 200.000 sponges and blankets.
